On Saturday the 9th September 2017 Brookes street Kindergarten celebrated 50 years of caring for children within the community, in addition we also celebrated 50 years of the Naming of the sunshine coast, with families past and present, the local community, special guests on the day MP Peter Wellington, Beryl Cox- Original Kindy Teacher and Ray Hume who sat on the Kindy Committee 50 years ago.
We thank all the Families, Community, local businesses who helped in our celebrations on the 9th of September, Alot of fun was had with Face Painting, Balloon Art & Party themed craft. We invited our Local MP Peter Wellington to attend our celebrations and present our new statue that commemorates the Kindergarten and The Naming of the Sunshine Coast.
A Free sausage sizzle, birthday cake & some fresh fruit from Howard Street Markets was enjoyed by all. Wozza's Ice Cream Van set up outside the kindy where plenty of sweet treat were enjoyed.
We would like to extend a Thank you to our local community for its support over the past 50 years, With much gratitude we thank the following businesses for their support in our 50th Anniversary celebrations
